La adaptación de 'Los mitos de Cthulhu', de H. P. Lovecraft, que realizaron Alberto Breccia y Norberto Buscaglia, publicada por primera vez en 1974, está considerada como una de las grandes obras maestras de la historieta. Ya cuando se lanzó, el talento de Breccia había sorprendido a los aficionados, fascinados por su excelente trabajo y su capacidad para dar vida al ominoso mundo del escritor. Esta edición está hecha a partir de los dibujos originales de Breccia dándole todo el peso a su dominio gráfico, especialmente a sus sutiles negros y blancos. Sus degradados, su mezcla de varias técnicas como el collage o la inserción de fotografías reelaboradas llevan al lector a revivir las opresivas atmósferas de Lovecraft y la inquietante fuerza que desprenden.
